Hi, so you've clicked into this blog, as you've read this blog is about information on databases, because that's our topic for today.
So in my class, specifically Information management, our lesson was Introduction to Database Management System (DBMS). For people who doesn't know what a DBMS is, a DBMS is a software that handles incoming data, organizes it, and allows it to be changed, That's easily to be understood right?
Well if you still can't understand it I'll give you some pictures of DBMS
So what are exactly the Advantages of DBMS?
DBMS has a way when various versions of the same data exist in different parts of an organization, this is referred to as data inconsistency. You may ensure that an all-encompassing perspective of your data is provided throughout your business by using a good management system and data quality management tools.
Furthermore, DBMS give a more effective framework for enforcing data privacy and security regulations. More effective management implies more openness and a lower chance of regulatory violations.
And their Disadvantage? DBMS is a little problematic because of:
For non-technical users, database management systems (DBMS) are quite complicated. As a result, managing and maintaining database systems is difficult. As a result, training for database designers, users, and administrators is required to ensure that the systems work smoothly.
The database is not enormous at first, but when the user stores a considerable quantity of data, it causes several complications. Database systems do not deliver good results and do not function efficiently due to the large amount of data. As a result, another restriction of database systems is their size.
So that is why DBMS is good and bad. We'll dive more deep into this topic if our instructor wants us to make another blog, but as of now, Thank you for reading :D
